More Floor

The flooring is basically finished in the kitchen, pink bedroom and the main living area. They are still working in the master bedroom. We were supposed to move our stuff in there tonight but I don't think that's going to happen :( on a another flooring note we are apparently going to floor the sunroom right now, surprise! I came home to a basically cleared out room with some sort of sealer on the floor. Problem is, I wasn't expecting to do this now from a design or monetary standpoint and there is still a huge hearth in there. So, the hearth has to go. I'll see what I can do to bust it up myself (not much) and may whip out the impact whatever (or Randy will). I'm still waiting to hear back from our contractor about my next course of action (currently sitting in the hammock writing this post, muwah muwah honey).

Lurve it!!!

It may not be very much floor but it's ours and I LOVE it!!! I heard a rumor that we would have cabinets Friday and the whole house tiled by Saturday! We shall see!!!

It almost looks clean in here!

I guess this means floors tomorrow!!! All of the stuff has been moved out of the main living spaces and the master. It also looks like the floors were 'cleaned', woot! If you can't tell from the pics the drywall has been finished and the walls and ceilings retextured. Bring on the paint!!!! 

They Are Still Here!!!

It's been a long day for the people working on our house. They are still in the bedrooms so I'll post pics of that after they leave. Most importantly, the AC is working. Second, we have (some) lights! Suck fest...there is crap EVERYWHERE! I'm thinking that renting a pod and moving our stuff out of the way would make this process for efficient.  Here are pics of the firebox being resized, the kitchen, the laundry and the master shower niche.

We are so close!

The bedroom we sleep in had the electrical run today = mess...and no ceiling fan...or AC = window fan. Now, if only I had a sky hook to tilt it down...the sunroom is also well on its way. I'm hopeful that the week after next Randy and I can start hanging our ceiling planks! My hopeful timeline is finish running electrical tomorrow, start drywall Wednesday, finish drywall Thursday and finish electrical Friday...we'll see after I talk to the GC tomorrow.

Progress is Progress

Even when it's S-L-O-W. A decent amount of electrical was done today. Our kitchen lights were fixed, pendants added. The sunroom, pink bedroom, guest room and bathroom were started. Hopefully it will get finished up early next week...

Tile Tower

Here is a pic of our first tile haul. This is one pallet. The tile guys laughed at us. I thought the tires were going to scrape the wheel well. We made it home and then played Jenga with the boxes. 1.5 pallets to go.

Shower Pool!!!

Randy has finally given in and given me a pool, sort of...I'm thinking that the plumber is testing the waterproofness (totally a word) of the shower. In other news, more can lights! Here are pics of the front room and dining room. Hopefully we will see a lot of progress this week. We are going to pick up the flooring tomorrow.

Mid Mess

We are roughly halfway through the electrical switch (hahahahaha). They have done the garage, attic, kitchen and master suite. They basically remove the bottom third if the drywall, re-run the lines and then put it together again.  The pot lights are going in too. We have a minor design miscommunication on that front in the kitchen, but I hope to sort it out this morning. One more day of electrical and plumbing and then these should start looking like rooms again!

Plant Progress

They're alive! We have a ton of surviving hydrangeas from our Steele Parent transplant. We also have a Rose of Sharon (I think something is eating its leaves), a Camellia and Crape Myrtle.
