Gutters!

We officially have gutters. We have also finished caulking everything except the chimney (Randy is working on that as I type), priming the new siding and we have drywall over our sunroom hole. Hooray! We are going to paint the house soon and we are leaning toward dark gray with white trim and a light pink door (hold your breath, Randy's idea) I'm running with it! The shutters will probably also be white. Inspiration photos for the color below:

 

It's Hot Down Here

We are plugging away! We mounted a TV in our bedroom (high to accommodate future furniture plans) and installed the front bedroom fan:

We are about 75% finished with caulking the sunroom before repainting the whole outside. We had our first big rain and no water inside!!!! So I think we are ready to have the wall closed in again. We are going to go ahead with the gutters back there because our problem area still got a lot of water:

And because no post would be complete without a surprise....our standing water problem on the roof...

Wallpaper and Caulk and Stuff

Randy was able to caulk most of the exterior siding before we went to the left coast. There is still a bit to do and then paint, but I think this has resolved the leak. We will probably install some gutters eventually too.

We also got wallpaper. Love it! Randy isn't sold yet, but I think that when it all comes together he'll come around.  We are going to install some 'panelling' on the walls without tile with some hooks and paint it all white. Inspiration below:

I also ordered some fabric for the curtains in the laundry room. Once the doors go up you won't really see them from the kitchen. I'm thinking they may need some fun trim to make them look more finished. Hopefully it will hit the furnace well:

Hopefully the GC will get in here this week to re-drywall the sunroom and address the other (very minor) things on our punch list. After that, it's unpack city!

Mid Day Update

Progress on the sunroom, hooray!

They replaces the rotted beam and now are insulating and adding siding.

Taskssss

We had a pretty stout to do list this weekend and, as usual, we did things that weren't on it, then added those things to the list and crossed them off :) major developments, a mist painted front bedroom with curtains and a bed:

It's a really soft minty blue. We also bought a ceiling fan for this room but didn't hang it yet.

We also installed the laundry elfa and fixed some paint stuff. Still needs curtains and a light fixture.  I'm thinking about one of the two fabrics below:

Our GC said that we should have wallpaper next week and a dry sunroom...we shall see!
