Phew

I am exhausted. I'm sure Randy is about to fall out. He's been sick and after a long day today, he went to the gym. Our to do list today was demo the hearth, transfer bedrooms and rip out carpet in our old bedroom. Sounded easy enough over breakfast but blisters and one petrified rat later it feels a lot more rough. I got the blisters and found the rat during the hearth demo. After we got in to it we realized that the hearth supports the fireplace to the exterior... genius.  So our contractor will re-supporting it and finishing the demo tomorrow..hopefully.  Here is a pic of what I hope it looks like eventually:

It was after lunch by the time this adventure was through...here are some pics of the progress. I should have snapped one of the rat too, vomit.

Our afternoon consisted of moving our bedroom and its contents and then pulling up the old flooring.  We were oscillating between wanting to kill each other and laughing our asses off. Finally, a little punch drunk and a lot stinky later, our old bedroom looks like this:

And our actual master bedroom looks like this (for now):

Next, tile tomorrow in the last bedroom, laundry room and master shower. Then, move sunroom stuff to tiled half of the sunroom so that tile can be completed Tuesday. Tuesday we will have all floor and bathroom tile complete (if the hearth cooperates) and...KITCHEN CABINETS!!! I'm hoping Tuesday night Randy and I can start the sunroom ceiling. Wednesday we are getting templates for countertops. WE-ARE-SO-CLOSE!!!
