Master Bathroom Ideas

Here is a pic of a lot of other pics to give you an idea about what we are thinking in the master bathroom:

The bathroom is roughly 5 feet by 8 feet.  You enter the bath on one of the 8 foot walls from the master bedroom.  The door currently swings into the bathroom, but we are going to make it a sliding door (using the existing solid wood door).

The door opening is roughly 2 feet.  So, when you enter the bath the vanity, light, mirror etc. are on your right and the opening to the new shower will be on the left.

Following to the right on one of the 5 foot walls after the vanity area is the toilet (I'll let Randy figure that out).  The plan is to replace the current vanity with a wood grain one like above with a white marble top and small, rectangular white porcelain sink, add a tilting mirror, perhaps a glass shelf and over mirror light.  We will also add a wood grain cabinet above the toilet for additional storage.

The other 8 foot wall opposite of the entrance is roughly half wall and bathroom and half shower.  The current plan is to mirror the whole bathroom wall part of this wall to reflect the only window in the master bedroom when the door is open and generally make the space look bigger like above...I'm also considering a small curtain like above between the vanity and toilet for a bit more privacy...I miss my water closet.  The rest of this wall will be in the shower.  This is also the wall that the sheet of glass shower stall will be fastened to (as above).

The other 5 foot wall which is entirely in the shower will be tiled and have one long shampoo niche.  Which brings us back to the wall with the sliding door opening.  The idea is also that the whole room (save the mirror part of the wall) will be larger subway tile from basically chair rail height down.  Above the 'rail' will be the smaller subway tile but only in the shower enclosure...I am also contemplating tiling the shower ceiling...the rest of the exposed walls will be painted the gray color in the pic above that is between the vanity idea and the mirror idea.  Finally, the floor in the bathroom will probably be white marble set on the diagonal above and will probably go into the shower, we'll see.  The base boards in the room will probably also be slab white marble.  We are also considering radiant heat in the floor...there is a lot of stone in there :)

As an FYI, there is a small, square skylight in the middle of the bathroom and also a flush mount light in the shower.
